Buyer FAQ
- What does a three-phase gate driver do?
- It turns the MCU's logic-level PWM into the gate currents that switch the six MOSFETs, with bootstrap supplies for the high side, dead-time protection and fault shutdown.
- How do I size the driver?
- Check peak source/sink current against the MOSFET gate charge and the switching speed you need, the supply voltage range, and whether you need integrated current-sense amplifiers.
- Which protection features matter?
- Under-voltage lockout, shoot-through prevention, over-current or desaturation detection and thermal shutdown. Verify the fault response time on your board.
