Buyer FAQ
- How do I choose MOSFETs for a 24–48 V motor driver?
- Voltage rating about 1.5–2× the supply (60 V for 24 V, 80–100 V for 48 V), low RDS(on) at your working temperature, and a package that can be cooled — often PDFN 5×6 or TO-252.
- Why does RDS(on) at temperature matter?
- RDS(on) rises roughly 1.5–2× from 25 °C to 125 °C, so conduction losses and heating at full load are much higher than the datasheet headline suggests.
- What else should I check?
- Avalanche rating for motor flyback, safe operating area, gate charge (switching losses) and thermal resistance junction-to-case; validate temperature rise on the real board.
