Supply chain

Dongguan and Guangzhou have grinder builders (cylindrical, centreless and universal), and a Japanese grinder brand has a Guangzhou office. For h6 bearing seats, in-process gauging and roundness capability are the key specs.

Buyer FAQ

Centreless or between-centres grinding for shafts?
Centreless grinding is fastest for plain shafts in high volume. Between-centres (cylindrical) grinding holds tighter run-out between several diameters and is used when bearing seats must be concentric with each other and with the rotor seat.
What accuracy should a shaft supplier demonstrate?
Typical small-motor targets: bearing-seat diameter h6 or tighter, roundness ≤ 2–3 µm, run-out between bearing seats ≤ 5–10 µm and surface finish Ra 0.2–0.8 µm. Ask for capability data (Cpk) on these characteristics.
Why does in-process gauging matter?
Wheel wear and heat shift the size during a batch. In-process gauges measure while grinding and stop at the target size, keeping diameters inside a few microns without operator adjustment.
