Stepper Motor Manufacturers in China
Chinese makers supply most of the world's hybrid stepper motors in NEMA 8–34 (20–86 mm) frames, together with drivers and closed-loop systems. The Pearl River Delta — Shenzhen and Zhuhai — and Changzhou in Jiangsu are the two main clusters. Shenzhen makers bundle motors with drives and motion controllers for 3D printers, CNC, packaging, textile and medical equipment.

Buyer FAQ
- Open-loop or closed-loop stepper?
- Open-loop steppers are cheapest when load and speed are predictable. Closed-loop steppers add an encoder, so they cannot lose steps, run cooler and use more of the torque at speed — a low-cost alternative to servos for many axes.
- Are Chinese NEMA 23 motors interchangeable with other brands?
- Mounting flange, pilot and shaft follow the NEMA standard, so they usually fit mechanically. Check holding torque, phase current and inductance, which decide which driver you need and how torque falls with speed.
- Can I get samples before a volume order?
- Yes. Most makers ship catalogue samples within a week. Custom shafts, leads, connectors or integrated brakes and encoders usually need 2–4 weeks and a few hundred pieces per batch.
- Should I buy the driver from the same maker?
- It helps: the maker can match current, microstepping and anti-resonance settings to the motor and quote the torque curve of the pair. Many Shenzhen stepper makers design their own drivers.
