Selection criteria

Crimp-force monitoring, strip-length accuracy, applicator changeover.

Supply chain

Swiss cut-strip-crimp brands have Guangzhou and Shenzhen offices, and Dongguan and Shenzhen have many domestic makers for ordinary harnesses. Per-terminal crimp-force monitoring is the key quality feature.

Buyer FAQ

What should crimp-force monitoring actually catch?
A crimp-force monitor compares each crimp's force curve with a taught reference and rejects deviations, typically beyond about ±3–5 %. Set up properly, it catches missing strands, insulation caught in the crimp and wrong terminals. Require automatic cut-off or marking of rejects and a logged reject count, and remember it supplements cross-sections rather than replacing them.
What length and strip accuracy should I specify?
Typical machines hold cut length within about ±(1 mm + 0.2 % of length) and strip length within ±0.1–0.2 mm. Confirm the wire range covers your leads (commonly about 0.1–6 mm²) and test with your actual insulation, since soft silicone or PTFE leads strip very differently from PVC. Check for nicked strands under a magnifier on the trial run.
Chinese or imported cut-strip-crimp machine?
Chinese machines are adequate for ordinary PVC lead wires at moderate volume and are delivered in a few weeks. Imported machines offer more reliable crimp-force monitoring, faster applicator changeover and better process data, which matter for automotive or high-mix work. Either way, check that the press accepts the standard mini-applicator mounting you already use.
