Supply chain

Shenzhen and Huizhou makers build hysteresis and powder dynamometers and motor test systems for small motors, alongside the Shenzhen office of a Taiwanese test brand. Match torque range to the motor and check that the software automates T–N curves and efficiency maps.

Buyer FAQ

Hysteresis, magnetic-powder or eddy-current dynamometer?
Hysteresis brakes are precise and smooth down to zero speed — ideal for small motors up to a few hundred watts. Magnetic-powder brakes give high torque at low speed. Eddy-current brakes suit higher power and speed but cannot load at standstill; for regenerative or four-quadrant tests use a motor-generator (AC) dynamometer.
What should the end-of-line test include?
At least no-load speed and current, a load point or short T–N curve, back-EMF, Hall signal sequence, hipot and noise / vibration. Full efficiency maps are for type testing and sampling, not every unit.
How accurate does the torque measurement need to be?
Choose a torque sensor whose range is 1.5–2 × the motor's peak torque, with accuracy around 0.1–0.2 % of full scale for efficiency work. Calibrate traceably and check zero drift before each shift.
